Guide to utilise all PTE mock tests

By PTE Practice - TADE Hub

The PTE Practice Platform – TADE Hub offers one FREE MOCK test to all test-takers to help them firstly understand their English levels in the PTE Academic scale in order to create an effective study plan for preparation.

Before we go explore everything in this FREE 2-hour mock test, your results are saved in your Dashboard within 24 hours after submitting it. If you experience the following two options, follow this video guide to check your results.

  1. The loading page takes a long time (over 7 minutes) to process after submitting the test;
  2. The feedback is ready, but some scores are from 0-10%. Kindly be patient because the scores are just not yet completed. You may need to wait for around 1 hour.

The reason is, at a time, there are thousands of users taking the practice test simultaneously. Therefore, the system needs more time to process. But you should not worry, simply follow our guide to check your results later.

Let’s now go through everything we have in each Full PTE Academic test.

Everything about Full PTEs in our Practice Platform

The same amount of time and question orders as real tests

All 2-hour PTE Mock tests on the PTE Practice Platform have around 2 hours that best simulate the real PTE Academic test to help test-takers experience everything similar to the certified tests, and of course, they will prepare better for the test.

The table below shows how similar the Certified PTE Academic and our Mock tests are. THEY ARE THE SAME!

After submitting the test, test-takers immediately receive feedback, which indicates overall, all Communicative skills, and question-type estimated scores.

It normally takes a few minutes to provide users with Estimated scores, so please DO NOT close or leave our Practice Platform after submitting your Mock Tests.

Communicative-skills estimated scores

Some institutions ask students to meet a certain number of scores in each Communicative-skills area. For instance, some UK universities require test-takers to achieve at least 59 in each Communicative Skill. As a result, these estimated scores are truly essential in providing a broader view to help students understand what they are strong at, and what they still need to improve. If students have low scores in Speaking skills, then they need to focus on question types which contribute to Speaking. In detail, we have the following question types to concentrate on to increase each communicative area.

  • Listening: P1: Repeat Sentence, P1: Re-tell Lecture, P1: Answer Short Question, and all question types in Part 3: Listening.
  • Reading: P1: Read Aloud, P3: Highlight Correct Summary, P3: Highlight Incorrect Words, and all question types in Part 2: Reading.
  • Speaking: P1: Read Aloud, P1: Repeat Sentence, P1: Describe Image, P1: Re-tell Lecture, P1: Answer Short Question
  • Writing: P1: Summarize Written Text, P1: Write Essay, P2: R&W: Fill in the Blanks, P3: Summarize Spoken Text, P3: Fill in the Blanks, P3: Write from Dictation.

For detailed information about all question types in each part, please kindly take a look at our article: “Comprehend all PTE question types"

Question-type estimated scores

When it comes to question types, it’s crystal clear that we need to focus on low-score question types to improve them. It’s easier if your dream institution doesn’t require specific scores for each Communicative skill. But if they do, it’s no problem at all because we know how to increase each Communicative-skill area.

Note: If your scores are not ready yet after receiving the result, kindly be patient and check it on your History Feedback page later in a couple of hours depending on how many minutes you spoke or how many words you wrote. Besides, at some times, hundreds of users request feedback at the same time, so it may take longer to show all results. Watch this guide to check your result on the History Feedback page

Test-takers can review the feedback on each question

It is like practising each single question type, test-takers are able to review feedback on each question after receiving their estimated scores. Simply click on each question type as follows and check detailed feedback and answers.

There are no same questions in all tests

We value your time putting into practicing dedicatedly. Hence, our Academic team always delivers new questions in each full test, so you will never see a question repeated in all mock tests.

Possible reasons that cause no feedback

We strongly recommend all students spend several minutes to check all these possible reasons that may cause no feedback after submitting your Full Test. Taking a Mock test of 2 hours needs lots of effort, so check them first to ensure your success.

How to utilise all Full PTEs?

Before preparing for the test

Your free account has access to one FREE 2-hour PTE mock test, so taking this free test helps students have a better understanding of all question types, especially their English levels on the PTE Academic scale score. We use this full test result to create a detailed preparation study plan, and students need to commit to their plan every single day to pursue their dreams.

If test-takers want the most accurate result, they should follow all PTE rules strictly. No support from others, no dictionaries, and no outside materials. Additionally, taking the Full practice test is just one of the five steps to secure your desired scores, so make sure to read this article carefully and apply it to your case: “Five (05) preparation steps to obtain your PTE desired scores”.

While preparing for the test

It hinges on your dream score and current level on the PTE Academic scale score to estimate how many weeks or even months we need to obtain our desired scores. Typically, for example, to move from a 55 to 70 overall score, we will need around 180-200 guided preparation hours.

*Note: A research from Cambridge for how many hours we need to move from one level to the next.

If students only have 30 preparation days (which’s truly hard), then they have to spend at least six (06) hours every day practicing and improving their general English. Nonetheless, if students are working in the office while preparing for the test, they may be only able to devote 2-3 hours a day to study, so they will need at least two months for preparation. We never recommend students spend too many hours on a daily basis to practice because we need time to digest it effectively. That being said, starting your preparation as soon as you can will give you a better chance of achieving your scores.

A key takeaway: No matter how many weeks we need to prepare, we all have to track our progress on a weekly basis to pay attention to what we are good at and what we still need to upgrade for a better score. Never forget that the PTE Practice Platform has dozens of full 2-hour mock tests that test-takers can take every week.

Three days left before taking the test

Students should relax more and reduce their study hours in the last three days. Simply take the rest of the mock tests to fully prepare, or at least the last mock test to get yourself ready.

So, shall we start our Full Practice test now? Go to the PTE Practice Platform, create your FREE account and take the test at any time.
